Made a belated start to his racing career and not much to shout about in two starts so far. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this and that looks to be the best way forward.
Son of Acclamation who cost 32,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to a couple of 1m winners. Already gelded, he was allowed to go off at 50-1 on debut at Newcastle and, after leading for a long way, he faded into 10th. Should improve for leading trainer.
By Delegator, he fetched 32,000 gns as a foal and 20,000 gns as a yearling. His dam was placed in Group races over 5f and 6f as a juvenile, but he showed little of the family's ability when only eighth of nine on debut at this track in May. Should do better in time.
Son of Casamento who cost €50,000 as a yearling and was then snapped up for 7,500 gns at last October's Newmarket Sales. Plenty of stamina in his pedigree, but showed he had the pace for this trip when third of five over C&D on debut. Should be wiser for the experience and has good jockey booking.
Beaten quite a long way on his only two starts at Leicester and Windsor. Leading connections reach for the visor and jockey booking appeals, but he needs to show more.
Elzaam colt who fetched 90,000 gns as yearling and is a half-brother to a winner in France. Did not get the clearest of runs when sixth of 15 on debut at Yarmouth and can take a big step forward for his powerful stable.
Has been beaten a long way in both starts at Catterick and Redcar. He looks another who can be placed to better effect in handicaps.
Forecasts
Mooltazem (1/2), Mark Of Excellence (4/1), Kings Will Dream (5/1), Aclimatise (20/1), Delegation (33/1), Snoring (66/1), Simmo's Partytrick (100/1)
Not the strongest of maidens and an ideal opportunity for MOOLTAZEM to get off the mark. He shaped well on his debut at Yarmouth and looks to have plenty of scope for improvement. Mark Of Excellence will need to be galvanised by a visor to figure, while Kings Will Dream should step up on his debut over C&D. The rest may do better in handicaps.
