Won a Kempton maiden (7f, AW) on debut in November and hold up tactics almost worked when he grabbed second close to home at Newbury (7f, good to firm) on his return. Although the winner has since been beaten, the third, fourth and fifth have all won on their next start, so the form looks strong and a 3lb rise is not insurmountable.
Sent off 2-1 on debut at Windsor (6f, good) in June but beat just one home after racing keenly. Subsequently gelded and left that form behind when taking a Lingfield maiden (7f, AW) earlier in the month. Handicap debut here from a tough enough mark, but drawn on the inside and that may help as he tries to make the necessary improvement to follow up.
Won a Lingfield maiden (7f, AW) in October and was game when beaten just a neck at Redcar (7f, good to firm) on his reappearance/handicap debut earlier in the month. Raised 5lb for that and not sure how strong the form is, although the fifth was only narrowly beaten next time. Improvement probably required on this occasion but going right way.
Confirmed the promise of his debut in a York maiden (7f, good) when keeping on strongly to win a Newcastle maiden (1m, AW) in October. Reappears here for his handicap debut from what looks a stiff enough mark for what he achieved there, but improvement is entirely possible and that could happen with top stable going well.
Sole win from 10 starts was in a Chester handicap (7f, good) from a mark of 79 in September. Handicapper has been in control since that 4L success, but he ran with credit at both Pontefract and Beverley in defeats last month before he struggled when upped in class at Chester last time. Back down in grade and 3lb in the weights but still a tough ask.

Chessman (4/5), Mojito (9/4), Six Strings (13/2), Silent Echo (9/1), Tai Sing Yeh (10/1), Arc Royal (11/1), Used To Be (20/1), Letmestopyouthere (25/1)
The form of CHESSMAN's Newbury race last time looks strong in the context of this contest, so the fact that he got beaten should not deter punters and he is taken to get his head back in front. Silent Echo has the inside berth and that might help him to find the improvement required on his handicap debut, while Mojito is very much a potential improver who is likely to get very competitive.
