Runner-up in a soft ground Listed contest at Pontefract at the end of last season but hasn't backed that up in the same company this year. Entirely possible he may have been inconvenienced by the fast ground so should give a better account here in first-time cheekpieces back in a handicap.
Fair effort last time when finishing sixth of 13 in a bunched finish but has largely been a little disappointing and would appear to need some relief from the handicapper. Possible he will enjoy the step up in trip but very disappointing in two starts on soft ground.
Well beaten in his bid for a four-timer when a 25/1 at Newmarket on return last month but shaped like he needed the run and better expected this time around. Dangerous if he's allowed an early lead.
Exciting prospect who has done very little wrong in three starts to date. Probably didn't need to improve to win at Chelmsford on final start but couldn't have done it much easier and he looks like a straightforward sort. Holds Royal Ascot entries so he would want to be going close in this to justify those.
Soft ground Ffos Las winner on debut and followed that up with a respectable effort at Epsom before shaping as if amiss at Newmarket when last seen in a Listed contest. Clearly highly regarded and should enjoy the return to soft ground but possible he will need this comeback run.
Off the mark in a Nottingham maiden and shaped like he would appreciate a step up in trip. Bit disappointing last time but ruined his chance by refusing to settle and he should do better this time around off what looks like a lenient handicap mark.
Started his career in fine fashion winning two and finishing runner-up in his first three races. May have been inconvenienced by the quicker ground on his reappearance at Newmarket and probably still on a fair mark so could go well upped in trip with a bit of stamina in his pedigree.
Soft ground Salisbury winner towards the end of last season and only just touched off on his reappearance at Sandown. Some stamina in his pedigree and yard are in better form now so looks amongst the leading contenders returned to his preferred conditions.
Showed that he'd learnt plenty from his Redcar debut in August when winning a maiden at Windsor last year. Shaped like there would be more to come upped in trip and ran well over ½f further last time when finishing runner-up at Doncaster. May enjoy the return to softer conditions now and should remain competitive from a 4lb higher mark.
Habitual slow starter who has struggled since taking a hike in the weights for back to back wins in September. Looks vulnerable once again, particularly with his starting stalls issues and he's unproven on soft ground.
100/1 winner over the mile here last time out after they probably went a little too quick on the front end. Pedigree suggests he could be even better over further but different ground poses a new question this time around.
Didn't run at all badly on handicap debut at Doncaster in early April, finishing fourth and may have done better but for being too close to a strong pace. Every chance of building on that and knows how to win, having battled well to take a Wolverhampton maiden in February.
Three of his six runs have come at Bath so likely that connections are targeting him at fast ground. Shaped like he would get this trip when winning at that course two starts back and not disgraced there again last time when second of four, but nagging doubts about the ground are off-putting.

Mucho Applause (7/2), Century Dream (6/1), Glorious Forever (13/2), Defoe (8/1), Andok (8/1), Time To Study (9/1), Count Calabash (14/1), Contrast (14/1), Bush House (14/1), Duke Of Bronte (16/1), Al Hamdany (16/1), Mister Blue Sky (16/1), I'vegotthepower (33/1), Zymyran (50/1)
MUCHO APPLAUSE looks like the one to beat with the yard in flying form and the return to softer conditions likely to suit. Glorious Forever is less exposed than a lot of these and he should remain competitive from a 4lb higher mark. If Mister Blue Sky can build on his Nottingham effort he should run well in conditions he has already proven himself in.
