Pulled up in four starts in Point-to-Points during 2016, and always struggling on debut for this trainer at Musselburgh (2m4f) in March. Significant improvement required.
A winner at this track over hurdles (2m4f), but that was way back in June 2013. Beaten 7L by Hurricane Rita on his penultimate start at Ayr in March (on heavy ground) and makes an arguably overdue chasing debut tonight.
Former Irish Point-to-Point racer (four starts), but off since April 2014 until reappearing over fences in March 2017. Nothing positive to take from either of those two rules starts over fences and best avoided.
Winner of a handicap hurdle off a mark of 115 at Kempton in January 2016 and placed off much higher marks thereafter, which sets a very solid benchmark at this level. Not disgraced when fourth in a 3m mares event at Ayr's Scottish National fixture last month, and a live contender in receipt of her mares allowance on her fencing debut.
A four time winner in 15 career starts in bumpers and over hurdles, rounding off with a game victory in a 2m4f mares handicap hurdle at Perth in April 2016. Absent for over twelve months which is always a worry, but one of the likelier types on all known form.
A race which barring accidents will be a match between DEBDEBDEB and Princess Tara. The Dan Skelton trained mare holds the strongest hurdles form on offer, and with a slight doubt regarding the fitness of the returning Princess Tara, she looks a most confident selection to get off the mark over the larger obstacles at the first attempt.
