Formerly high class chaser who improved on the form of his point-to-point second at Borris House in December by rattling off three successive wins in hunter chases including when beating the classy On The Fringe at Leopardstown a month ago. Likely to prove very hard to beat in this.
Winner of a maiden point-to-point in February 2016 and a maiden hunter chase at Cork the following month. Well beaten in last three attempts in point-to-point company and has plenty on his plate here.
Winner of the confined hunts race at Punchestown point-to-point for the second successive year last month but generally well held in open company and hunter chases and a place looks more likely than a win here.
Five times a winner under rules but generally well held in open point-to-points for this stable since returning from a 32 month absence in February 2016 and looks up against it once more here.
Still in front when falling two from home in a point-to-point at Borris House last time out. Also a winner of three mares open point-to-point races and a Wexford hunter chase this season. Has plenty to find with Foxrock but likely to run well once more.
Winner of a mares maiden at Tinahely last month, her first win in 12 attempts in point-to-point races. Steps up markedly in grade here.
Forecasts
Foxrock (1/6), Maple Mons (11/2), Enniskillen (10/1), Uisce Ur (25/1), Harry The Lemmon (25/1), Frontier Dancer (33/1)
FOXROCK is ineligible for the Cheltenham Foxhunters but can gain some compensation by taking this prestigious Tetratema Cup. The selection was a high class horse under rules and on his most recent victory at Leopardstown retains plenty if not all of his ability. In a race with little strength in depth to it he can get the better of the consistent mare Maple Mons with the veteran Enniskillen taken to finish third.
