Stayed on powerfully to take close-up second over the mile around here a week ago. Up 2lb for that effort and drops to 7f, is by no means a consistent performer.
Off the track since November, well held over this trip then in what was sole AW start of last year. A fair while since we've seen the best of him.
Best of UK form would give her some sort of claim if ready to produce it on first start for new trainer.
C&D winner penultimate start, unable to repeat off this mark over 6f latest when not granted front running tactics. Looks held on that evidence.
Now a 15-race maiden and while no great sense of confidence in his chances, should at least find the step up in trip more to his liking on second start for this yard.
Without a win so far in 14 starts, penultimate run here was promising but since struggled greatly over a mile and it's hard to have faith despite drop to 7f.
Recent record at this venue makes him almost impossible to fancy, he's been toiling over shorter trips and overall profile on AW is less than inspiring.
A 16-race maiden on the AW but has twice gone close off similar marks over C&D this winter, doesn't provide much in terms of consistency but would have his chance on a going day.
Four-time course winner including in November over 6f, ran a much better race last month over this trip and entitled to go well again.
Yet to truly fire in four starts for this trainer but is slipping down the weights and with claimer on top can't be ruled out stepping up in trip.
Is a previous C&D scorer, including this contest 12 months ago but two runs around this track since turn of the year have been very underwhelming. 1lb lower than winning mark 12 months ago.
Yet to break through and win but she did run best race for some time when third over the mile for this claimer a week ago. Needs to find something extra to win.
Really good effort last month over C&D when third in a blanket finish. Failed to back that up over the mile a week later and tends to have more off days than anything else. Not one to rely upon
Went close here in apprentice race in October, though not matching that form in two subsequent returns and is first reserve for this contest.

Last year's winner Tom Dooley has been out of form both runs here since the turn of the year and so is unfancied to repeat that success. Voyageofdiscovery ran a fine race to be second over the mile last week and would hold solid enough claims if repeating, but there is no assurance that will be the case. Alans Pride scored over C&D recently but may have benefited from having the run of the race and of more interest might be four-time course winner Twistsandturns who ran a promising race last time. There are many in with chances and Arlecchino's Rock is slipping down the weights but a chance is taken with MODERN TUTOR. Yet to win, he's twice run with promise here of late and might just put it all together now for a rider that has gone well at the track recently.
1. Modern Tutor
2. Twistsandturns
3. Arlecchino's Rock
