€1,100,000 yearling by Sea The Stars out of Green Room who makes a belated racecourse debut at the age of four. 7th foal, and a half sister to Lord Shanakill and Together Forever amongst others, it will be fascinating to see what the market makes of her on debut.
Drops back in trip after struggling late on over 1m 2f on her racecourse debut at this track last month. However, that is unlikely to be enough to see this 10th foal by Archipenko be more competitive today.
Unraced 68,000 Guineas yearling with a French pedigree who is a sister to 6f winner Kendala. Stable have a good record at this track since the switch to Tapeta, so obviously one of the likelier types. Wears a hood.
Unraced £65,000 yearling by Canford Cliffs out of a Oasis Dream mare (Teddy Bears Picnic) who is a half sister to various winners. Carries the colours of regular Newcastle race sponsor John Dance.
Ran green throughout and never nearer despite making late progress when finishing sixth of 14 over this trip at Kempton on debut last month. This stiffer track promises to suit this Archipenko filly, but she has a few interesting newcomers to tackle.
Relatively inexpensive Tagula foal and yearling in the context of her five other rivals in this contest, and absent since showing nothing when finishing last of 12 over 6f on debut at this track in Ocotber.
All heads will quite rightly be turned to SIGNE, who surely boasts the tag of the most expensive yearling to run on the Tapeta at Gosforth Park to date. She's bred to need a trip, and faces no easy task giving weight away to all of her rivals as the sole older horse in the race, but with her pedigree, the sole objective is surely to get a victory into her, and presumably connections wouldn't be sending her North unless she's fully tuned up and ready to strike at the first attempt. Fellow debutant Dalavida looks the principal danger, with her trainer David Simcock having sent many a nice horse to Newcastle since the introduction of Tapeta in 2016.
