One racing punter scooped almost £13,000 from a £15 stake on Sunday's card at Goodwood while our rugby league expert landed a big-priced winner in the Grand Final.
Lucky for someone...
Sky Bet's racing desk endured a tough weekend which began with eight places on the Cesarewitch - one of which was filled by the favourite - and ended with a stunning lucky 15 at Goodwood.
One customer staked £15 across the final four races of Sunday's card and found all four winners, starting with shock novice winner The Pink'n (40/1) and ending with gambled-on Macaque (11/1) in the final race.
With Now Children (9/2) and Alaadel (9/2) both doing the business in between, that meant for a return of £12,879.35 for a bet whose unit stake was a mere 50 pence each-way.
That was the pick of some remarkable winning multiples, including a Saturday wager which returned over £15,000 for three winners from five in trebles.
Major Jumbo (18/1), Aquarium (16/1) and Vintage Brut (9/1) did the business for the punter in question, with Daawy (8/1) hitting the frame to boost the returns further.
Aquarium and Major Jumbo were also involved in a 15p each-way lucky 31 which returned over £5,000 thanks to wins too for Perfection (9/2) and Awake My Soul (16/1), plus a place for Vis A Vis (10/1).
No breaks here...
One Sky Bet punter is enjoying the international break more than most after his 11-fold accumulator for Saturday's domestic football won him over £21,000 from just a £5 stake.
With 80 minutes on the clock, he still needed late winners at Solihull, Burton, Coventry and Newport, who didn't get theirs until the eighth minute of stoppage time!
- Solihull Moors 2-1 Ebbsfleet United
- Dagenham and Redbridge 1-2 Wrexham
- Newport County 2-1 Stevenage
- Scunthorpe 0-2 Peterborough
- Exeter 2-0 Swindon
- Cambridge 0-1 MK Dons
- Gillingham 0-2 Southend
- Coventry 1-0 Wycombe
- Burton 1-0 Bristol Rovers
- Accrington 3-1 Bradford
- AFC Wimbledon 1-2 Portsmouth
That same 98th minute winning goal for Newport gave another Sky Bet punter a £1,148 windfall...from a 47p bet!
Sky Bet also report that seven customers in total had bets of £10 or less which paid out more than £10k, the highlight arguably being that aforementioned £5 11-fold acca at 4,295/1.
However there was another punter who scooped £13k from a £5 five-fold on Portsmouth, Fleetwood, Colchester, Newport County and Boreham Wood each to win and BTTS.

Final tips just grand
Tom Carnduff expected Wigan to edge a tight Super League Grand Final and was proven right, with his decision to split stakes in the man of the match market proving to be inspired.
Our man selected Stefan Ratchford to be awarded the Harry Sunderland Trophy at 12/1 and so he was, despite Warrington failing once more to win the end-of-season title.
While the Sporting Life Accumulator has and always will be a collaborative effort (got your back, NH), Tom certainly had a hand in selecting Saturday's treble which also won at odds of 11/1.
