In tribute to rugby league legend Rob Burrow, horses wearing the number 7 will race with specially designed Rob Burrow-themed saddle cloths, honouring his courageous fight against the disease and the day is sure to be well supported.
The Great St Wilfrid hasn't been quite so well supported with 21 entries and a maximum field of 20, it seems that anyone who wants a run in the famous handicap will get one and the same is true of the Betway sponsored Grey Horse Handicap at Newmarket which has 11 possibles and a safety factor of 20.
There are no such problems for Ripon's Silver Cup Handicap (38 entries, maximum 20) where Goyard takes the eye if only for the fact that he's been declared for Nottingham on Tuesday.
The rest of the ITV action comes from Newbury and William Haggas and Tom Marquand could attempt to continue their fine run of form in the Visit Malta Hungerford Stakes having won three of the last five renewals.
They could be represented by progressive handicapper Extremely Zain who was all the rage - but only fourth - for the Moet & Chandon International Handicap at Ascot last time.
Never So Brave was last seen finishing sixth in the Sussex Stakes and could drop in trip and class for this Group 2 while Coppull and Prince Of India would be going down in class but up in distance after being fourth and sixth respectively in the July Cup.
Don't dismiss the Darley EBF Novice Stakes which follows the Hungerford given the last five winners have been More Thunder, Tiber Flow, Witch Hunter, Jumby and Sacred.
Godolphin have three entered in Charlie Appleby's Doncaster winner Jassas, Roger Varian's 1,000,000 guineas purchase Rock Montreal and Saeed bin Suroor's 10 Stormy Winter, a well beaten fourth on debut at Catterick.
The Berkshire venue's meeting kicks off with the Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Geoffrey Freer Stakes with progressive handicapper Wine Dark Sea and the quite highly tried and lightly raced Galiyan two of the more interesting against some more established campaigners, including Australian regular Dubai Honour.
There are some familiar names among the 17 (max. 20) in the TPT Fire Handicap with Scoville, Colombier and Blue Brother all attempting to advertise the form of the Golden Mile from Glorious Goodwood.
