Frankuus wins from Mount Logan at Haydock

Free horse racing betting tips: Wednesday's betting preview and selections for the UK & Ireland

Frankuus should make the most of both the cut in the ground and drop in class at Goodwood, according to Anita Chambers. She has a selection for every race.

Frankuus should make the most of both the cut in the ground and drop in class as he tackles the EBF Stallions Foundation Stakes at Goodwood.

Mark Johnston's charge is capable of performing on decent ground, but he no doubt excels when some rain has fallen, as evidenced by a Group Three win at Haydock on his penultimate start.

He benefited from a fine front-running ride on Merseyside when winning the Rose of Lancaster Stakes, but he was far from stopping in front and only Mount Logan, who has subsequently won a decent event at Doncaster, could get anywhere near him.

It is easy to see why Johnston was tempted into having a crack at the Winter Hill at Windsor at the back-end of August, but he never really looked happy on the good to firm ground and it is perhaps best to just put a line through that effort.

The Frankel colt boasts the highest rating of 112 here and the conditions of race put him at a distinct advantage which he can exploit.

Billesdon Brook can notch her fourth win of the campaign in the TBA Small Breeders' Fillies' Conditions Stakes.

Richard Hannon's runner has proved incredibly game this season and will be having her ninth start here as she dips slightly in company.

Her initial win at Kempton in July prompted Hannon to scale her up in company and she has certainly risen to the challenge, placing in Listed class before taking the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood.

She was hardly disgraced when fifth in the May Hill at Doncaster last time either, but perhaps the mile just found her out towards the end.

Billesdon Brook has to concede weight all around but will still take some beating.

Setting Sail should do the business for Charlie Appleby in the opening "Get 1/4 Odds At 188Bet" Future Stayers' Maiden Stakes.

Beaten just three-quarters of a length on his racecourse bow, Setting Sail has some big-race entries to his name already, not least next year's Irish 2,000 Guineas.

He looks a really promising type who should be a bit wiser for his introductory run.

Pow Wow changed hands for 85,000 guineas at the sales in July and can make a winning start for his new trainer Martyn Meade in the 32Red On The App Store Handicap at Kempton.

The three-year-old was previously trained by Roger Charlton and after showing very little in three juvenile outings, he really came to life following a gelding operation, racking up three successive victories earlier in the year.

He was particularly impressive when completing his hat-trick at Bath in June, winning by nine lengths despite rearing over and unshipping his rider behind the stalls.

That clearly was not the strongest of heats, but Pow Wow's ability shone through and doubtless made that price tag a little heavier.

It is not ideal to be returning from 91 days off the track, but Pow Wow appears to have plenty of untapped potential and could develop into a leading player through the winter months if he proves his aptitude for the Polytrack.
