Watch Me ground out a second Group One triumph with a gritty display in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville on Sunday.
Charlie Appleby's Summer Romance took them along by the stands' side rail in the one mile contest, with Pierre-Charles Boudot content to sit in behind through the early stages.
A gap appeared on the inside around a furlong and a half from the finish and Boudot didn't delay in sending odds-on favourite Watch Me through and straight into the lead.
Further out towards the middle of the course, Godolphin second-string Half Light and Johnny Murtagh's Irish raider Know It All under Oisin Murphy emerged as dangers in the closing stages, but last year's Coronation Stakes scorer dug deep under a right-hand drive to win by three-quarters of a length.

It was a second triumph at the highest level for the Francis-Henri Graffard-trained filly, who beat Hermosa at last year's Royal Ascot and landed a Listed even on her seasonal return in July, having signed off last term with solid Group One efforts in defeat.
