Jockey Sam Twiston-Davies hits century with Hereford winner

Jockey Sam Twiston-Davies reached 100 winners for the season when Broughtons Admiral struck at Hereford.

Twiston-Davies reached the landmark in a two-mile maiden hurdle, in which he partnered the 9-4 favourite to a comfortable nine-length defeat of Romanor.

The jockey tweeted his gratitude to his agent Chris Broad, boss Paul Nicholls, father-trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies and Worcestershire handler Dr Richard Newland.

Nicholls' assistant Harry Derham said on Twitter: "A brilliant achievement from @samtwiston - determined, strong, hard working and an all round brilliant jockey, congratulations on another 100 winner season. #samtheman."
