Hayley Turner will add an exciting new dimension to her riding career by relocating to France during the winter.
Britain's most successful female Flat jockey retired from the saddle in 2015, but she has since made fleeting comebacks and still rides out on a regular basis.
Turner works as an analyst for ITV Racing during the summer, but once the Flat season is over, Turner intends to become established in France, where she can take advantage of a female jockeys' allowance in all races.
She told ITV Racing: "I'm continuing to do my ITV work until the end of the season, but between now and then I'm going to to and fro to France a bit.
"If I ride over there I can claim two kilos for any horse in any race.
"I've got a pretty blank winter lined up and I thought I'd maybe head over there and ride.
"I might come and go between now and the end of October but then base myself over there for the winter.
"I'm lucky enough to have Herve Naggar, who is an agent over there. He does the top lads and he's going to take me on – he hasn't got any light jockeys or girls on his books, so that'll be handy.
"I'll probably ride out a little bit for Francis Graffard, who I've ridden out for a little bit already – I'll base myself with him and then whoever wants me, really.
"I'm really excited. I like having something to get my teeth stuck in to."
