Free horse racing betting preview and tips for Tuesday December 3

Ashley Iveson makes Diodorus his best bet of the day at Wolverhampton on Tuesday - he has a tip for every race in the UK and Ireland.

NAP: DIODORUS (6.45 Wolverhampton)

Next Best: MICHELE STROGOFF (5.15 Wolverhampton)

Diodorus can secure an overdue second career success in the Betway Handicap at Wolverhampton.

A son of Galileo, out of the top-class racemare Divine Proportions, Diodorus is bred in the purple - and spent his early days among the other bluebloods at Ballydoyle.

However, while he ran some promising races in defeat and landed a minor event at Dundalk, he left Aidan O'Brien in the autumn of 2017 after being knocked down to Karen McLintock for 32,000 guineas.

The five-year-old is winless after 11 starts for his current connections, but has run some sound races, including placed efforts on his last three starts.

On his last two appearances, at Catterick and Thirsk, Diodorus has filled the runner-up spot behind Maid In Manhattan. Hindsight tells us McLintock's charge had a lot on his plate, with Maid In Manhattan now rated in the 80s after a couple of subsequent strikes at Nottingham.

Having been rated more than 100 at one stage, Diodorus returns from a three-month break on a workable mark of 72. It will be disappointing if he is not there or thereabouts.

The similarly well-bred Dubai Quality may make a winning start to her career in the Ladbrokes Where The Nation Plays Fillies' Novice Stakes.

The Dubawi juvenile's dam was a three-time Group Three winner, at up to nine and a half furlongs.

Wolverhampton's seven looks a sensible starting point, and it will be no surprise if Dubai Quality is quickly off the mark for Saeed bin Suroor.

Michele Strogoff is expected to snap a long losing streak in the Betway Apprentice Handicap.

The six-year-old has eight career wins on his CV, but has not managed to get his head in front since impressing over this course and distance in mid-January - suffering defeat in his next 17 races.

However, he has gone close on a few occasions and returns to Dunstall Park 2lb below his last winning mark.

Loveherandleaveher should be hard to beat if she avoids mishap in the Bet At toals.com Mares' Novices' Handicap Chase at Southwell.

Nicky Henderson's mare was unfortunate to find trouble on her first two hurdles starts last year, and failed to finish either.

But she had no such problems in two previous Irish point-to-points, winning the second, and put the record straight under rules with a comfortable Huntingdon success over timber in February.

The seven-year-old's profile to date suggests she may possibly prefer slightly better ground than the forecast soft for her first start in almost 10 months - but the likelihood is she will outclass her rivals anyway.

Ruacana is out to complete a Lingfield hat-trick in the Birdie's 2020 Wall & Desk Calendars Handicap Hurdle.

The veteran appears to have been completely revitalised since joining Zoe Davison - winning twice at this venue in November, by nine and 10 lengths respectively.

With the testing conditions in his favour, he has fine prospects of continuing the resurgence.
