Free horse racing selections for Tuesday August 13

Nick Grant makes Leapers Wood his best bet of the day on Tuesday - he has a selection for every race in the UK.

NAP: Leapers Wood (2.00 Nottingham)

Double: Kyllang Rock (3.30 Nottingham)

Cut in the ground is key to Kyllang Rock and there should be plenty of that in the British Stallion Studs EBF Conditions Stakes at Nottingham.

James Tate's sprinter has some very smart form in the book - and most of it has been when the mud is flying.

He has been lightly raced in recent seasons and has had just the one outing this term, on the all-weather. While it was disappointing he was beaten, it was a decent event and he was entitled to need the run.

Last March he actually had a verdict over subsequent Nunthorpe winner Alpha Delphini to his name, which suggests when he gets his conditions he is very capable indeed.

Tate's horses have been in great form this season and if he retains all his ability he should be the one to beat.

Leapers Wood is an interesting proposition in the Mansionbet Nursery Handicap.

Michael Dods' youngster has yet to get his head in front in three outings to date, but has shown enough ability to suggest his turn will surely come.

His debut run was a solid one, and while he disappointed next time he was back to much more like it on his latest start at Ayr.

Running in what looked a useful contest, he was dropped in at the rear from a wide draw and travelled kindly before meeting with interference around two furlongs out.

That did his chance no good, but he came home really well to take third, looking every inch a future winner. It is worth noting the fourth horse has already come out and won and the selection is taken to further enhance the form.

Cloud Drift should be hard to beat in the British EBF Novice Median Auction Stakes.

Trained by Michael Bell for the Queen, this son of Toronado made a nice leap from what was an encouraging start at Chepstow to run with real promise at Beverley recently.

Racing in mid-division as favourite and eventual winner Tell Me All bowled along at the head of affairs, Her Majesty's representative had horses in front of him straightening for home, and had to switch two out.

He made marked progress from there, albeit in vain as the winner had flown. Everything about him says a mile will suit down to the ground and he gets that opportunity now.

Arabian Moon is the pick in the Sky Sports Racing Virgin 535 Novice Stakes at Ffos Las.

Ralph Beckett returns to the Welsh venue with his Al Kazeem colt after his debut over the course and distance, where he was too keen for his own good.

Normal improvement from that experience should make him a threat to all.

Noble Music is very interesting in the Watch Racing TV Now Novice Stakes at Carlisle.

She finished third at Doncaster on her debut in a race that could not have worked out any better.

The winner Bangkok was second in the King Edward VII at Royal Ascot, and in second was Telecaster who went on to win the Dante. Even the fourth and fifth have won.

So while Noble Music was 10 lengths back in third, the fact there were future winners behind her bodes well.

Fox Hill gets the vote for Eric Alston in the Racing TV Fillies' Handicap, with the Sir Mark Prescott-trained Bodyline the one to aim at in the Matchbook EBF Future Stayers' Novice Stakes.

The latter looks a nice prospect for his Heath House yard.
