One lucky Sky Bet punter was celebrating after landing a remarkable treble on day five of Glorious Goodwood on Saturday.
On a fairly difficult week in general for punters at the Qatar Goodwood Festival, wins for Scorching Heat, Soldier In Action and Lancelot Du Lac on Saturday triggered a payout in excess of £90,000 after one punter placed a win treble on the three horses.
Scorching Heat made light work of the opening Stewards' Cup consolation race and Soldier In Action knuckled down well under a big weight to land the Qatar Summer Handicap so hopes were pinned on Frankie Dettori delivering Lancelot Du Lac in the Stewards' Cup itself.
Dean Ivory's experienced sprinter wasn't to be denied and completed the third leg of the £30 treble, with the speculative wager returning £90,480.
Sky Bet's Michael Shinners said: "To pick the Stewards' Cup winner was hard enough given the way the race panned out but to have it in an accumulator with the winner of the consolation race and another extremely tricky handicap takes some doing.
"It's been a very glorious Goodwood for this customer and I can only take my hat off and offer our congratulations."
The woe for Sky Bet didn't end there as one football customer opted to cash out his £10 14 team accumulator before the final match, collecting £30,800 in the process.
Concentrating on European games rather than the first day of the Sky Bet Football League season, the customer watched on happily as the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt, Lyon and FC Metz all did the business to leave him sweating on the outcome of Alcoyano v Real Murcia.
Opting not to walk empty handed for an inspired wager, the customer opted to cash out and it was a good job too as Murcia went on to win 1-0 courtesy of an 86th minute goal from Eladio Zorrilla.
