Mirage Dancer failed to impress on the gallops and won't run in the Derby - get the latest on Sir Michael Stoute's team.
MIRAGE DANCER's Investec Derby bid was quashed after he worked on the Derby gallop under Ryan Moore.
The Khalid Abdullah-owned son of Frankel had put in an eyecatching first run of 2017 when finishing best of all behind Cliffs Of Moher in the Dee Stakes at Chester.
Sir Michael Stoute sent the colt the wrong way around the Round gallop with BALLET CONCERTO and MUDAARAB.
The trio swung round a bend and into the Trial ground, with Ballet Concerto and Mirage Dancer pulling away.
But while the latter was under the pump, his stablemate looked to be going much the better.
The action then moved onto the Round gallop proper where NADAITAK came up alongside ABJAR.
Both looked on good terms with themselves.
DESERT DREAM then got the better of TIME'S ARROW by half a length. Further back were EL CAP and the puzzling PIVOINE.
