Andre Fabre colt Last Kingdom aimed at Prix Guillaume D'Ornano

Last Kingdom will attempt to extend his winning sequence this season to four when he steps up in class and distance at Deauville next month.

Following wins in a maiden and a conditions race over a mile on his first two starts of the campaign, the Andre Fabre-trained colt successfully graduated to Group Three company in the nine-furlong Prix Daphnis in late June.

The three-year-old son of Frankel is set to return in the Group Two Prix Guillaume d'Ornano over a mile and a quarter on August 15.

"He's doing good and runs on the 15th at Deauville in the Group Two over a mile and two," said Ted Voute, racing manager for owner Prince Faisal.

"He's one of those that is slow developing and Andre has taken his time with him and given him plenty of space between his races to let him mature and his head be right. Andre is a master at doing that."
