The seven-time (HWPA) broadcaster of the year will be joined by BHA Chief Executive Nick Rust and trainer Eve Johnson-Houghton for Sunday’s show, which is free to watch.
The programme will offer a blend of first-rate punditry plus action from Hong Kong, where the final five races from Sha Tin will be broadcast live and in HD every week.
Also in Sunday’s show, British champion jockey-elect, Silvestre De Sousa, who has enjoyed great success in Hong Kong, tells presenter Tom Stanley how best to ride the Sha Tin and Happy Valley racecourses. In addition, former Racing UK pundit Graham Cunningham will be one of many contributors to deliver a taste of Hong Kong life via a special weekly postcard.
Luck, whose hosting role will be covered by Rishi Persad on certain weekends, said: “I'm excited to be involved in this new venture which – thanks to the support of Hong Kong Jockey Club – can combine top-quality, live racing and betting opportunities with strong conversation.
"We've got a great team working on the show and have had plenty of support from the industry already. There are some excellent guests lined up, including one or two surprises in weeks to come."
George Irvine, Commingling Development Director for Hong Kong Jockey Club, added "Hong Kong racing has become very popular in the UK over the last 10 months and I fully believe Luck on Sunday will make it even more popular.
"The programme will feature a range of guests who have worked in Hong Kong media or trained or ridden winners out here. The information and comments the viewers will be privy to, allied to the live coverage, will ensure the show is a winner."
Luck on Sunday will air from 8.30am to 11am every Sunday on Racing UK (Sky 432, Virgin 536, Freeview / YouView 261, racinguk.com).
