Richard Fahey guides us through his team for Newcastle and Newmarket

Runners at Newcastle and Newmarket for our columnist on Saturday - check out his guide to them all.

12:55 Newcastle Ventura Mutiny

Our two-year-olds are running greener than I’d like but this is a nice horse who will win races. I just hope he jumps and runs and shows what he’s capable of.

1.30 Newcastle – Tadleel

He’s in great form, working really well. It’s his first run for us and we’ll learn from it but I’d like to see him go and run well.

2.05 Newcastle – Ventura Ocean

I want to run him in the seven-furlong race at Royal Ascot but he needs a run first and this was the best option. He’s a nice horse, a big horse, and it will be interesting to see how he goes.

2.25 Newmarket – Eva Maria

In truth she’s got about 20 pounds to find with the best of these and it would be great if we could beat three home and pick up some black type. She’s a nice filly but in deep here.

3.15 Newcastle – Embolden

This a warm race with Palace Pier here in there. My horse is fit and well but is in very deep here it would seem for his reappearance.

3.15 Newcastle – Yoshimi

Similar comments apply to this fellow but he was gelded over the winter and that has been the making of him. He never ran a bad race at two and has progressed all winter and is working well. It’s good to get going again.

3.50 Newcastle – Selected

He’s been shaping well. Some horses can be raw and green but he’s been a natural from day one. I’m hoping he’ll run a big race.

4.30 Newcastle – Araifjan

He hasn’t run for a while but I’m very pleased with him. It doesn’t look a great race and I’d like to see him go well.

4.30 Newcastle – Precocity

She had a few little niggly problems but she’s fit and well again now. She’s another I’d give a chance to in this race.

5.40 Newcastle – Firewater

She is what she is but is an easy horse to train and is very fit for her reappearance. We’ve no excuses with her.

6.15 Newcastle – Gabrials Boy

We tried to stretch him out by running at a mile-and-a-half and a mile six last year but he doesn’t stay. Ten furlongs around here will be right up his street and I’m very happy with him although I don’t think the handicapper has been overly kind with his rating.
