Ben Linfoot was among the winners again on Sunday and now Matt Brocklebank looks ahead to Monday's racing, including a Nap at Ayr.
PHILOS looks the bet of the day on Monday. He bumped into a well-treated rival at Newcastle earlier in the month, clearly building on his comeback run at Southwell at the end of March in the process. There should be more to come from the four-year-old this year and although yet to win a race on turf, he's only had the three outings and has been placed on a couple of those occasions, including on rain-softened ground. He should take plenty of beating here under Oisin Orr.
KODEBREAKER has been largely disappointing since his last win in March of last year but that victory came off a mark of 56 and he's now down to 47 in spite of some far more encouraging efforts in defeat of late. He didn't get a great run through the field when beaten less than two lengths into fifth over over furlongs here late last month and he should appreciate the step back up to a mile on this occasion. He's got a very sound chance of hitting the frame at least in this 0-52 company.
WHITE UMBRELLA remains fairly treated on her old form for the Charltons and she ended up winning two of her last four starts of 2023. They came off marks of 53 and 55 and although nudged up another pound to 60 following an encouraging comeback second over this track and trip earlier in the month, she was finishing with real purpose and should still be a force if improving for the first outing since November.
Antiphon brings guaranteed race-fitness to the party but MARY OF MODENA could be the bet in the Windsor finale. Five furlongs on ground with a little bit of ease is just about perfect for Michael Attwater's mare and she returns to action off just a 2lb higher mark than when winning on Newmarket's July Course last summer. She scored over this course and distance earlier in the 2023 too so there's enough to recommend her in this sort of field which lacks an obvious improver.

A high draw over the straight mile at Yarmouth isn't such a bad thing and it could be worth chancing DREAMROCKER from stall 12. The filly stepped up on her debut run at Chelmsford last summer to win a novice event over seven furlongs at Salisbury and although beaten four lengths off a mark of 75 on handicap debut back on the all-weather when last seen in October, she's bred to improve with age. Ed Walker trained the half-sister Dreamloper too - a Group 1 winner aged five - and while Dreamrocker doesn't look like following in those illustrious hoofprints, she's got a good attitude and should have plenty more to offer this season.
Course regular Cloudy Rose has to be respected but preference is for CHINHURST who doesn't look harshly treated, up just 2lb for his 10 furlongs victory on good ground here earlier in the month. The son of Nathaniel is perfectly happy on a softer surface too, while it's hard to imagine the return to this longer distance proving as issue as he has placed form over 12 furlongs at Epsom last year too.
COLD HENRY has had a little break since ending his all-weather winter campaign on a bit of a low note at Southwell in February and it's encouraging to see him back here at Catterick where his form figures are very encouraging (11334). He's back on a good mark too, rated just 4lb higher than when last successful and on the same mark as when beaten a head at Southwell last summer. Soft ground suits him well and the in-form Joanna Mason is back on the saddle which looks another plus.
