SWORD MAKER - 16:42 Goodwood
Cerulean Bay won this last year and isn't handicapped out of it, Wechaad has been running consistently well in similar races and Storming Point has races in him from his current mark but preference is for SWORD MAKER who is entitled to come on for his run at Newmarket.
Stepping up a furlong in trip should also help and although he's drawn wider than ideal and encounters cut in the ground for the first time, neither are expected to be an issue for a three-year-old who should have more to offer.
Chepstow selection Ooh Betty (16:22) is a non-runner

ONEHUNDREDNEIGHTY - 13:37 Worcester (NAP)
An informative card kicks off with the Richard Davis Memorial Handicap Chase and ONEHUNDREDNEIGHTY rather picks himself in this line-up. An impressive course winner on his chase debut over two miles, he has 10lb more to shoulder and another half a mile to travel but it would be surprising if either obstacle were to trip him up. The fences might as he wasn't foot perfect but hopefully he will have learnt from that initial foray and he's open to plenty of improvement for Ben Pauling after just three starts for the stable.
ASTRACORNUS - 14:54 Yarmouth
ASTRACORNUS hasn't been sighted since Glorious Goodwood where he finished fourth despite patently failing to handle the track in the final furlong. He had been progressive on more conventional courses prior to that, giving every impression that there was more fuel in the tank and may be able to prove that now with his yard showing signs of emerging from a spell in the doldrums. This will be the softest ground he's encountered but it isn't expected to pose a problem and he appeals as the type to enjoy a profitable autumn.
KELPIE GREY - 16:17 Musselburgh
Half a dozen of these contested the same C&D handicap at the end of last month with KELPIE GREY returning a beaten favourite in third. He meets the runner-up on the same terms and is 2lb better off with the winner but that may all be academic if he gets a clear run this time around. He found his path blocked repeatedly during the last quarter of a mile with the door only opening when it was all too late and granted better fortune, Kelpie Grey can make amends.
SUPREME LILLIA - 19:00 Newcastle
Take a chance with SUPREME LILLIA on her handicap debut and first start over a sprint trip. She doesn't look well treated on her run at Thirsk over a mile where she broke slowly and looked outpaced but her first two efforts at this course read better, notably her very encouraging debut 11 months ago. She obviously has a little to prove after two runs that haven't matched that start and a six-month absence as well as a new trip but Supreme Lillia is a half-sister to a couple of sprinting winners and this discipline may just prove to be her métier.
FLOATING MARKET - 19:15 Kempton
This may not take too much winning and it will be disappointing if there isn't more to come from FLOATING MARKET who should progress with experience and age. She's only been sent off at single figures once in her four starts (when winning at 9/1) which doesn't smack of a filly who has been burning up the gallops but she would have finished closer with a clear run at Southwell on her handicap bow. She's from a good family and the form of her Lingfield win has worked out quite nicely with wins for the second, third (twice) and fifth and she can do her own bit for the form with Oisin Murphy up for the first time.
