GLORY SKY – 7.00 Wolverhampton
She shaped as if needing the run on her return from a break at Haydock last time and back on an artificial surface GLORY SKY could be an entirely different proposition.
She’s down two pounds to a mark of 70 which looks attractive on the basis of her comfortable defeat of subsequent winner Kracking at Kempton in May and Joe Leavy claims a further seven pounds off.
IMPERIAL ALEX – 2.35 Plumpton (NAP)
Gambie Tiep has been on a real roll since joining Ben Pauling but is up six pounds for a win at Fontwell earlier this month and the handicapper might finally catch up with him.
I’m taking him on with IMPERIAL ALEX who makes his chasing debut for the Tom Lacey team but does have experience of the larger obstables from point-to-points in Ireland. He landed some big bets when making a successful handicap debut over timber at Warwick in February and was then touched off late trying to follow up at Carlisle.
He’s low mileage, in very good hands and only a pound above the mark he raced from in Cumbria.
LUNACY – 5.10 Hamilton
The race wasn't run to suit at Chester last time but LUNACY looks an interesting bet back over the course-and-distance over which he was successful in July.
That came on soft ground, he’s only up a pound and was ridden from the front when scoring there. A return to front-running tactics would be no surprise on Sunday and the Iain Jardine team are going well.
