ASPULL still has to prove his stamina for a mile and it isn't a given given the speed he showed last season and his sprint pedigree but he did tackle this trip on his final start at three when possibly over the top. He'd run well in novice races on quick ground prior to that and could find further improvement for his winter gelding operation.
STORM POINT - 16:45 Lingfield
STORM POINT improved for the switch to handicaps when winning readily at Kempton and can cope with a 4 lb rise in the weights with the runner-up boosting the form when going one better on Saturday. A half-brother to several winners, Storm Point benefited from going back out in trip and being ridden more prominently and should continue to progress for a yard that is in red-hot form.
ECHALAR - 18:30 Wolverhampton
It's not been a vintage April for Ian Williams but he's had a few go close lately and ECHALAR may be able to get the stable over the line on his fourth start for the yard. His latest start was the most encouraging for Williams yet, making late gains into midfield yet dropped 1 lb to leave him below his winning mark. Echalar tries a new trip but has shaped as though it would suit and that's backed up by his pedigree and he can go well returned to the scene of his sole success.
