MADE U BLUSH - 14:10 Chepstow (NAP)
She’s shaped very well on her last two starts and MADE U BLUSH looks sure to give it a good shot in this valuable pot. Dan Skelton’s charge was run down late by stablemate Queen Maeve at Sandown in April having gone for home first and fared best of those held up when fifth in the Swinton at Haydock last time. She’s on the same mark, in a first-time tongue tie, and this is likely to have been the target for some time.
REBEL TRIBESMAN - 15:05 Hexham
Jamie Snowden has a good record at the track and REBEL TRIBESMAN can add to the tally. It’s still relatively early days in handicaps for the five-year-old who ran well from this mark when third at Newton Abbot last time, making a couple of crucial mistakes. He’s reliable which can’t be said about most of these and looks to have been found a good opening.
DUMFRIES - 16:10 Southwell
He’s been shaping as if a surefire future winner of late and the day may finally have arrived for DUMFRIES. The six-year-old would have beaten the prominently ridden African Spirit in a slowly-run race at Wolverhampton last time in two more strides, finishing to great effect from the rear of the field to get to within a head of doing so. He's only up a pound and will hopefully get a stronger pace at which to aim.
NATIONAL HONOUR - 16:50 Newmarket
There are a number of promising types in here but an opening mark of 89 could underestimate NATIONAL HONOUR who rates the bet. Second on debut at the July Course, he's won his last two races at Thirsk and Kempton, improving with each start. He was well on top of subsequent nursery winner Solar Strong at the latter track and with William Buick taking over in the saddle for the first-time can continue his progress.
ASHNAK – 17:07 York
He's shown plenty in his first season for David O’Meara and ASHNAK can claim a maiden win for the yard in York's finale. Formerly with Francis-Henri Graffard in France, he’s shaped better than the finishing position suggests the last twice, not getting home over a mile-and-six at Haydock before finishing strongly having been slowly away when fourth at Ayr. He's been dropped three pounds off the back of that run meaning he slots into this 0-85 from the ceiling rating and it’s his first run in a Class 4. A very strong pace is forecast and that combined with the cut in the ground can bring his stamina into play in the closing stages.
