He’s a typical improver for the Skelton team and there’s every chance an opening mark of 111 underestimates LEAUMEC DE MEE.
The five-year-old was still green on his third start at Sedgefield in December but made most of a good opportunity to open his account, beating Eddie My Eagle by two lengths.
He hung right towards the paddock exit there and is still learning on the job and should progress for some time yet.
MAXIMISING - 3.40 Lingfield
He didn’t make the anticipated improvement on handicap debut at Southwell last time but MAXIMISING is given another chance to confirm his previous promise.
He looked to have been brought along with this sphere in mind, running his best race on his qualifying run at Yarmouth. However he was off the track for five months and looked in need of the run when fifth behind King Of Ithica last time.
He’s two pounds lower and capable of better still.
BUCCABAY - 8.00 Kempton
He had a bit in hand when winning here in December and BUCCABAY looks the best bet on the Kempton card.
Things went wrong from him at Southwell next time, running on well after being shuffled back at a crucial stage the race. He’s on the same mark on Wednesday, is right at the top of his game, and has won from higher ratings in the past.
