MILCREE – 15.35 Kelso (NAP)

MILCREE gets the Nap vote in the Every Horse, Every Race, At timeform.com Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase at Kelso on Friday. Nicky Richards’ eight-year-old can’t have been the easiest to train and he made a belated chasing debut after 622 days off at Ayr last time. It was worth the wait, though, as he won easily off a mark of 115, eased down towards the end, and an 8lb rise might not stop him following up with the six-week break looking a positive in regards to how he came out of the race.

WILLMOUNT – 14.40 Chepstow

Juby Ball looks a likely short-priced favourite in the Novices’ Handicap Chase at Chepstow but he could be worth taking on with WILLMOUNT. Rebecca Curtis’ horse comes in here fresh after a few months off and the drop back in trip looks a wise move as he didn’t appear to see out three miles here last time. He remains low mileage and Dylan Johnston takes over from a claimer in the saddle and he could put it up to these in receipt of weight from the field.

CASTANEA BREEZE – 16.00 Fakenham

CASTANEA BREEZE has improved in cheekpieces and he can land the Racing TV Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle at Fakenham. The six-year-old won at Market Rasen in first-time cheekpieces and then only went down to the in-form Kalo Athena in a big field at Wetherby last time. That showed three miles and soft ground pose no problems to him and Lucy Wadham looks to have found the perfect race for him to bounce back to winning ways in here.

KING OF SPEED – 17.15 Wolverhampton

KING OF SPEED is well drawn in one to attack from the front in the BetMGM Supports Safer Gambling Apprentice Handicap at Wolverhampton. Mark Loughnane’s seven-year-old won over the course and distance two starts ago off just a 2lb lower mark following an attacking ride and he ran well in third when stuck out wide from stall nine here last time. He should be better positioned this time and he could get the run of things on the inside under Ethan Tindall.
