He’s slipped down to a dangerous mark and SEA LEGEND showed signs of a revival over course-and-distance last time. Jim Goldie’s charge was eventually fourth to Eligible having been hampered inside the final furlong. He’s down into a Class 6, and a further two pounds in the weights, meaning he’s 16 below the perch from which he won here for James Fanshawe in May 2024 and six lower than when second in an apprentice handicap at the track in November.
JEU D’OPALE – 15:32 Leicester
He’s low mileage for the Venetia Williams team and JEU D’OPALE can provide them with a welcome winner going back up in trip. The eight-year-old was having his first start over fences for them when second to subsequent winner Jaipaletemps over two miles at Lingfield last time and races from an unchanged mark. He looks like he’ll be fine at the trip and is clearly handicapped to have a say.
ROARING RALPH 18:30 Southwell
He’s sdown to a career-low mark and having bounced back to form at ths venue last time, ROARING RALPH is fancied to take advantage. The six-year-old was edged out by a progressive rival in Moyowasi having travelled strongly through the race and is well drawn to track the pace on Tuesday.
