BEATTIE IS BACK - 15:15 Newcastle (NAP)
He’s been shaping well of late and the return to seven furlongs can prove the key to BEATTIE IS BACK regaining the winning thread.
Richard and Peter Fahey’s charge was doing all his best work late after being stopped in his run when third at Southwell last time and is down a pound to 69. That’s three lower than his last winning mark and he has strong course-and-distance form to his name too.
STARSONG - 14:30 Bath
She’s slipped two pounds below her last winning mark and STARSONG might be ready to take advantage in a poor contest.
Her best recent run came in this 0-55 grade at Pontefract two starts ago, finishing second to Go Victor. She disappointed at Southwell next time but with Alistair Rawlinson back in the saddle, she has a big chance if bouncing back.
DIAMONT KATIE - 18:50 Hamilton
She’s been running well of late and back down in grade DIAMONT KATIE makes plenty of appeal.
Karl Burke’s filly finished 11th in a stronger race than this at Goodwood last time, looking a threat when making a big mid-race move only to tire late on. That was a Class 3 0-95, this a Class 5 0-75 and she rates a bet.
COMIC HERO - 20:00 Kempton
He won his novice here back in February and COMIC HERO remains relatively unexposed for his top team.
A good second to St Anton at the Guineas Meeting in May, he hasn’t been seen since running into traffic problems behind Jeddaal at Chester a month later. He’s fresh and only three pounds higher than that big run at HQ.
