David Ord is in the hot-seat looking ahead to Wednesday's cards.
Wednesday selections
HEYZOOM - 15:04 Nottingham (NAP)
Owen Burrows is an in-form trainer and HEYZOOM looks an interesting runner for him in this competitive handicap.
The son of Dubawi won a maiden at Newbury's Lockinge Meeting that worked out well and went to Royal Ascot next time where he ran a cracker to finish fourth behind Enceladus in the King George V Handicap.
He was off the track for three months having been gelded and made little impact back at the same course last month but he appeals as the sort to bounce back quickly, especially with cut in the ground. Oisin Murphy is a positive booking.
GUARD YOUR DREAMS - 14:55 Ffos Las
He has a fantastic record fresh and with the Twiston-Davies team firing on all cylinders at the moment, GUARD YOUR DREAMS is fancied to make a winning return.
The 10-year-old has won four times form five starts when returning from six months or more off including on a belated Warwick reappearance last season. He’s seven pounds higher on Tuesday but remains feasibly handicapped and ran well from a pound higher when fourth in the Haydock veterans’ final on his last start.
NOONETELSMENOTHIN - 16:52 Wetherby
He didn’t look entirely straightforward at Musselburgh two starts ago but these are calmer waters for NOONETELLSMENOTHIN and he’s fancied to resume winning ways.
The five-year-old is likely to sit close to what is forecast to be a weak pace and drops into a Class 5 for the first time from the ceiling rating of 105. His best – and winning – performance last season came first-time-out out.
ALGAIHABANE - 17:00 Kempton
He was found out in deeper waters in the Haynes Hanson And Clark Stakes at Newbury last time but ALGAIHABANE can get back on track on handicap debut.
A mark of 85 is fair on what he’s achieved in three runs to date, and he looked to find the ground plenty quick enough at the Berkshire track. He was raw on debut here in August but took a big step forward to win at Sandown next time, battling on bravely. A first-time hood is added and he looks capable of progressing beyond this opening rating.

TAP TAP SHAMIE - 15:05 Perth (NAP)
Dan Skelton's 156-rated hurdler Kabral Du Mathan is the major draw at Perth but he's not betting prospect at odds-on making his chasing debut and it's best to hold tight and back the Olly Murphy-trained TAP TAP SHAMIE in the two-mile handicap hurdle instead. The chestnut son of Shirocco won a point in 2025 and made it third time lucky over obstables in a novices' hurdle at Hexham back in May. He looks open to bags of improvement for his in-form yard and could be able to outclass this lot.
DIPLOMATIC ASH - 16:04 Fontwell
Course form counts for plenty around Fontwell and although he also has one or two quirks, DIPLOMATIC ASH clearly doesn't mind the place having won here a couple of times over fences in the past. He was last seen scoring over hurdles at Plumpton in May and, having also finished second on seasonal debut in this event 12 months ago, there's every chance he'll be getting in on the act again.
INSPECTRE - 16:25 Brighton
Gary & Josh Moore have won this race a couple of times in recent seasons and looks to have three reasonable chances in the field but INSPECTRE is the least exposed of the trio and he might be worth chancing on handicap debut. The opening mark of 63 looks more than workable after the Inns Of Court gelding showed improved form over seven furlongs in a course maiden last month and he'd run quite an eyecatching race on his sole previous try over a mile at Lingfield the previous month. There's surelymore to come from him.
MAGIC TRIP - 17:00 Southwell
Three-year-olds dominate the field for this 0-80 mile handicap and it's one of those youngsters - MAGIC TRIP - who is selected to come out on top. He's still seeking another win since his debut score at Brighton last September but recent handicap form, including when third (of 13) behind Nostrum over this course and distance last time out, looks solid enough and the assessor has eased Andrew Balding's charge another pound in the ratings. The front two got first run on Magic Trip last time but he came home with purpose and stall three on this occasion should allow jockey PJ McDonald every chance of picking up a better position on the bend.
