Ben Linfoot's first two selections, including the Nap, have won - check out his best bets for the remainder of the day plus David Ord's Friday fancies.
Thursday selections
SEA SUITE – 14:48 Yarmouth (NAP)
SEA SUITE has been banging on the door and he can land his second win of the year in the 7f handicap at Yarmouth on Thursday (14:48). James Owen’s son of Sea The Stars is only 5lb higher than when winning easily at Southwell in March and he looks to still have a few pounds up his sleeve, going close at Wetherby before doing best of those held up at Kempton last time. With Mason Paetel taking 5lb off he can go in again ridden closer to the pace.
SUNRAY SHADOW – 14:55 Worcester
Dan Skelton is predictably making hay during the early summer jumps programme and his SUNRAY SHADOW looks a likely type on fencing debut in the PJ Nicholls KGM Korea Genuinely Made Handicap Chase at Worcester. The son of Blue Bresil is related to chasers and he looked in good heart when winning a handicap hurdle off the same mark just last week.
EL MATADOR – 15:40 Ripon
There looks more to come from Ralph Beckett’s EL MATADOR and the Ripon Cathedral Handicap looks a good spot for him to try 10 furlongs for the first time. The son of Lope De Vega has improved his form without winning since being gelded but he looks ready for this trip and he’s against a largely exposed bunch here.
GET A SUPERSTAR – 18:30 Market Rasen
Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole look to have GET A SUPERSTAR down to a mark he can win off in the Geoff Handley’s Grand 80th Handicap Chase at Market Rasen. A close-up third off 94 on chasing debut at Catterick in December, he races off a 6lb lower mark here and he might just get the run of things out in front under Charlie Hammond.
SUDDENLY I SEE – 20:20 Sandown
If William Buick can get him out and rolling quickly from stall one SUDDENLY I SEE can bounce back to form in the closing Starsports.bet Handicap at Sandown. The son of Ribchester missed the break at Beverley last time before running okay in the circumstances, so it’s probably worth remembering the style of his Musselburgh win the time before.
Friday selections
EMERALD ARMY - 17:15 Carlisle (NAP)
There was a lot to like about EMERALD ARMY’s first run for Ruth Carr at Catterick and he looks ready to resume winning ways.
The five-year-old was the only horse to make an impact from the rear of the field when a closing neck second to stablemate Filey Beach. This track promises to suit and he’s a well-handicapped horse for his excellent new team.
ALFARAZ - 15:00 Chepstow
He’s shown enough in three starts to suggest he’ll be winning races of this nature and ALFARAZ rates the best bet on the Chepstow card.
Andrew Balding’s charge was too keen on his return at Newbury but hung in well to be beaten less than a length. He has the potential to take cover in this and is a colt who there’s plenty more to come from.
KIMEKO GLORY - 15:20 Brighton
She was too keen in first-time blinkers under a good apprentice last time but KIMEKO GLORY still ran well to hold on for fourth.
With David Egan taking over in the saddle, trainer Charlie Hills among the winners of late and having only her second start in a 0-75, the four-year-old is given another chance. She’s only three pounds above her last winning mark too.
CURIOUS ROVER - 20:25 Wolverhampton
He contests a Class 5 handicap for the first time and CURIOUS ROVER is interesting.
He’s run well in two stronger races than this of late, fourth at Musselburgh and again at Thirsk earlier this month when drawn away from the main action. He’s down a further two pounds meaning he’s eight lower than when winning at the Scottish track in August last year and has form on artificial surfaces.
