Unbeaten juvenile Quorto has been put away for the rest of the season with Godolphin confirming all roads now lead to next year's QIPCO 2000 Guineas.
Winner of his first two starts at Newmarket, including the Superlative Stakes, he took the step up to Group One company in his stride to win the National Stakes at the Curragh last time.
He was thought to be heading to next month's Darley Dewhurst Stakes for a mouthwatering clash with current Guineas favourite Too Darn Hot but connections have decided to call it quits for this campaign.
Charlie Appleby told www.godolphin.com: "He has done exceptionally well in his first season, winning his G2 and G1, and progressing all the time. The 2,000 Guineas has always been the long-term plan, and following discussions with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, we have decided to put him away for the year,” he added.
Quorto is currently a 7/1 chance with Sky Bet for next year's Classic.
