Waiting Patiently among nine entries in Betfair Ascot Chase

Last year's winner Waiting Patiently features among nine five-day acceptors for Saturday's Betfair Ascot Chase.

Ruth Jefferson's stable star was brought down on his reappearance in the 32Red King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day on his first race since his victory in the 2018 renewal of this contest.

As expected, Paul Nicholls has left both Cyrname and Politologue in the race while Nicky Henderson is also double-handed with Top Notch and Janika.

Aso is in line to represent Venetia Williams if racing is back under way and the field is completed by Abolitionist, Charbel and Fox Norton.
