Finian O'Toole hospitalised after Kelso fall

Finian O'Toole was taken to hospital in Glasgow with suspected pelvic, back and leg injuries following a fall at Kelso on Saturday.

The conditional rider was hurt in a nasty-looking incident at the fourth-last flight in the Urwin Family Handicap Hurdle.

He was unshipped when his mount One Night In Milan fell, bringing down King Leon, who then collided with O'Toole.

"He had a fall here and was taken by air ambulance to Queen's Hospital in Glasgow with suspected pelvic, back and leg injuries, but he was conscious and talking and that's the main thing," said clerk of the course Anthea Morshead.

"Obviously, we wish him all the best. His horse fell and brought another down and the horse was brought down fell on top of him. It was a nasty incident."
