Front View looked a smart prospect when initiating a 23/1 treble for trainer Joseph O'Brien and his cousin, jockey JJ Slevin, in the Children Under 14 Race For Free Maiden Hurdle at Cork.

Runner-up to the exciting Envoi Allen on his jumps debut at Down Royal, the four-year-old went one better when leading home a one-two for his trainer and the start of a first career hat-trick for his rider.

Always close up, Front View (5/4 favourite) led before the third-last flight and stuck to his task well to score by a length and three-quarters from stablemate Uhtred. Jon Snow was five lengths away in third place.

"He has a lot of ability. He missed one or two along the way, but did it well and is a fair horse," said Slevin.

"He showed a nice bit last year and today he picked up well - he has a lot of speed and is an exciting horse."

O'Brien and Slevin completed a quick double when Midnight Run (13/8) made no mistake on his jumps bow in the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle.

The classy bumper performer was always travelling well and eased into the lead after the third-last, on the way to an emphatic nine-and-a-half-length success over the 8-13 favourite Colreevy.

Top Moon brought (3/1 favourite) up the treble for the same combination in the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Handicap Hurdle.

The four-year-old took the step up four furlongs to two and a half miles in his stride as he strode three and three-quarter lengths clear of Morosini to give owner J P McManus the first and second.
