DOCTOR STEINBERG can stretch his unbeaten hurdle record to 3 and provide Willie Mullins with a fifth win in the last 6 runnings of this Grade 1. December's Limerick Grade 2 scorer Kazansky is the mount of Jack Kennedy from the four-strong Gordon Elliott team and may provide the main threat ahead of the selection's stablemate Love Me Tender.
DIPPEDINMOONLIGHT - 14:25 Leopardstown
There was much to like about the way DIPPEDINMOONLIGHT travelled through the race when runner-up on handicap debut at Fairyhouse and, with further progress highly likely, she is taken to go one better here. The lightly-raced County Final was just touched off in a Grade 2 Limerick novice on Boxing Day and he is greatly respected back in handicap company. Gordon Elliott saddles several, with Wendrock the pick of them ahead of Son of Anarchy. Road To Home is also shortlisted.
GALOPIN DES CHAMPS - 15:30 Leopardstown
GALOPIN DES CHAMPS may have lost his unbeaten record over fences at this course when third in the Savills Chase in December, but he still shaped encouragingly returning from 8 months off and he can go on to land a remarkable fourth consecutive win in this race. A pair of his stablemates could be the main dangers, with Gaelic Warrior feared most ahead of I Am Maximus.
SHAHBAZ - 17:00 Wolverhampton
This represents a drop in grade for SHAHBAZ and representing a team with a good record in amateur races, he looks an interesting proposition. Karthala should have more to offer for his new connections, while Bluenose Belle has been in good order over hurdles and won't lack for assistance from the saddle.
