Seeyouatmidnight aimed at Randox Health Grand National

Trainer Sandy Thomson wants to run Seeyouatmidnight in the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree in April.

The Grade Two-winning 10-year-old has not been seen since last March, when he finished second over hurdles at Kelso, but is now close to a comeback.

Seeyouatmidnight had been suffering with a suspensory ligament problem but has now made a full recovery. He has also undergone a wind operation ahead of his belated seasonal return.

Berwickshire-based Thomson said: "He's in good order, but whether we get a run into him in mid-, or at the end of, February will depend on the weather. The plan could be to run him in the Ivan Straker Chase (Kelso, February 15) and then go for the National. It's great to have him back."

See You At Midnight is 33/1 with Sky Bet for the Aintree showpiece.
