Mixboy stayed on strongly to land the feature race at Musselburgh on Sunday.
Gaining the third course win of his career, the Keith Dalgleish-trained grey saw off Indian Temple by two and three-quarter lengths in the £15,000 Watch RacingTV Now Handicap Chase.
With just one jumps fixture to come this season, the result saw Brian Hughes cement another leading course jockey award as he was recording his twelfth win of the campaign.
Wishfull Dreamer was an impressive winner of the Join RacingTV Now Novices' Limited Chase for trainer Sam England and her jockey husband Jonathan.
The couple were both enjoying their first wins at the East Lothian venue at the fourth and ninth attempt respectively.
"He's done really well and is a strong travelling horse," said the winning rider. "He stays further and has been in great form since then penny started to drop."

The ex-Richard Fahey Chingachgook, carrying the colours of Andrew Tinkler, took the opening Follow RacingTV On Twitter Maiden Hurdle Cumbrian trainer Tristan Davidson under Harry Reed.
Davidson said: "We think quite a lot of this horse and he may be good enough to have a decent season on the Flat later this year."
Rachael McDonald produced an amazing recovery on Veauce De Sivola before the well-backed 5/2 favourite gained what appeared at one stage to be an unlikely success in the racingtv.com Handicap Chase.
Sandy Forster's charge hit the seventh fence hard and McDonald managed to stay on board but the partnership lost plenty of ground as a result and hit a high price of 140/1 in running.
