Multiple tips for today: Best racing tips and free bets for Wincanton, Ascot and Haydock

Check out our recommended multiple bet for Saturday's action from Ascot, Haydock and Wincanton.

What is a Lucky 15?

We thought it would be a good idea to explain exactly what a Lucky 15 means and how easy it is to place such a bet.

In short, the Lucky 15 is an acca including four elements, although all four bets don’t have to win to produce a profit/return. The selections are combined into one four-fold accumulator, trebles, doubles and individual singles.

So, the Lucky 15 can be summed up as follows: 1 accumulator, 4 trebles, 6 double, 4 singles = 15 bets.

An each-way Lucky 15 is therefore 30 bets, and you will get a return of some kind if only one horse places.

COLONEL MUSTARD - 2.05 Wincanton

An open-looking Kingwell but COLONEL MUSTARD gets 6lb from the two at the top and he's a big danger back over timber based on his nine-length third to State Man at Punchestown last spring. He'd previously been second to Rubaud when conceding 8lb at Ayr so is fancied to reverse the form on these terms.

IRISH HILL - 2.25 Ascot

IRISH HILL has been given a chance by the assessor, having eased from 131 at the start of the season to a mark of 125, and Freddie Gingell takes off an extra 5lb in the saddle this weekend. The horse won this race from 3lb higher last year and doesn't want the ground too testing so could get his ideal conditions again on Saturday.

RED RISK - 2.40 Haydock

RED RISK was outclassed when sent off 25/1 in the Long Walk Hurdle at Ascot but Paul Nicholls is superb at placing his horses and looks to have found a decent opportunity for the nine-year-old, who was beaten a length by the reopposing Botox Has at Wetherby in November. Red Risk is a couple of pounds better off this time and looks likely to enjoy the testing ground in the north west.

IWILLDOIT - 3.15 Haydock

IWILLDOIT could never get truly competitive behind L'Homme Presse and Protektorat at Lingfield last month but there's no shame in that given the sharp nature of that track and the marked drop in distance for Sam Thomas's horse. He clearly still retains plenty of ability and looks a major threat to all back in the handicap ranks here, having been third in the Welsh National on his previous outing over Christmas.
