Charlie Hills has earmarked the Paradise Stakes at Ascot as a possible starting point for the long-absent Mootaharer.
The four-year-old, who is a half-brother to multiple Group One winner Muhaarar, has been pencilled in to make his first start since winning a maiden at Newmarket in October 2015 in the mile Listed prize on May 3.
Having missed all of last season, the son of Dubawi moved a step nearer to making a return to action when he had a racecourse gallop under champion jockey Jim Crowley over a mile after racing at Newmarket on Thursday.
Hills said: "He missed all of last year as he had a sinus problem from the back-end of his two-year-old career.
"He has had a long time off but he has been pretty good up to now and there is a Listed race for him at Ascot on May 3, so we will probably start off there.
"He has been fine at home, but he is so lightly raced we don't know enough about him.
"Obviously he won his maiden very convincingly at the Rowley Mile, but he has never been a good work horse at home so he is hard to gauge."
