Free horse racing selections for Monday February 25

Anita Chambers fancies Raucous to return to winning ways on Monday - she has a tip for every race on every card.

Nap: Raucous (6.55 Wolverhampton)

Next Best: King Of Naples

Raucous can grab the attention with victory in the Betway Heed Your Hunch Handicap at Wolverhampton.

Sold out of William Haggas' yard for a sizeable sum at the end of 2017, Raucous has yet to really find the winning groove for Robert Cowell, striking once last year but showing there is plenty to go at with a string of places.

His campaign was limited, running from just April to July, but Raucous achieved enough in that period to suggest he could be a useful tool going forward.

That impression was confirmed on his seasonal bow when he finished a close-up fourth in a similar event to this at Lingfield last week.

Returning from 213 days on the sidelines, Cowell must have been satisfied in seeing his charge finish just half a length off first in what was a blanket finish and any ring-rustiness should have been firmly shaken off.

A mark of 99 looks perfectly workable given he was rated as high as 106 at his best.

King Of Naples finished stone last at this track last time out but can be given another chance in the Betway Live Casino Handicap.

He had previously turned in two decent runs but he was too keen and raced wide before he was carried even further adrift, so it might be best to put a line through that.

With Caution looks hard to oppose in the Betway Novice Stakes. The James Tate-trained filly shaped as a reasonable prospect in winning first time up at Lingfield and can only have benefited from the experience.

Chased along and green when the pace was turned on, she found her feet to finish really strongly, getting on top close home for what was a cosy half-length success.

Brandon Castle has a Cheltenham Festival entry in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, and if that lofty ambition is to be realised, he really should be winning the R.A.B.I./Joan Collison Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Plumpton.

The seven-year-old is long odds for the Supreme at this stage - but he has done nothing wrong yet in winning each of his two starts for Neil King.

He beat a subsequent winner in Collooney on his initial start at this track before strolling home seven lengths clear when making it a Plumpton double last month.

Brandon Castle clearly thrives over this course and distance so it is easy to see why King is going to the well again.

The Olly Murphy-trained Rio Quinto could hardly have done more on his debut over fences and should make it two from two in the Like Racing TV On Facebook Novices' Chase at Ayr.

Murphy has claims of an across-the-card double, as Bubbles Of Gold is fancied for the Abode Uttoxeter Novices' Hurdle at the Midlands track.
