Trainer David Menuisier is looking forward to seeing ante-post favourite Thundering Blue bid to extend his winning sequence in the Betfred Cambridgeshire at Newmarket on Saturday.
Following victories at Epsom and on the July Course, the four-year-old completed his hat-trick in fine style at Sandown – despite conceding ground by jinking left in the final furlong.
Each of his recent triumphs have come over a mile and a quarter and he drops back a furlong for this weekend's prestigious handicap on the Rowley Mile, but Menuisier remains confident of a bold showing.
"All going well this week, the plan is for him to run on Saturday and hopefully Jim (Crowley) will ride," said the French-born trainer.
"He knows the horse well after winning on him at Sandown. He has completed his hat-trick and is in very good form. He is 34th on the list at the moment and he will get in, so we don't have to worry about that.
"I don't think he is ground dependant, as long as we don't get extremes, and I think it will probably be good ground by Saturday.
"Sometimes horses can handle different types of ground when they are lower in the weights and when they go up in the weights you find out what they really want.
"With him having such a good turn of foot, you would think quicker ground will suit him best, but we are not too concerned."
The favourite could face two in the colours of leading owner Al Shaqab.
Racing manager Harry Herbert confirmed the plan was to run both Sir Michael Stoute's El Hayem and Hugo Palmer's Qassem.
"It's very much the idea at the moment to run both, although Qassem does hold other entries and it will be up to Hugo to decide," said Herbert.
