Chelmsford hosts arguably the pick of the afternoon action and the two most significant movers come in the first two races.
To Arms is 11/2 from 10/1 for the opening East Coast IPA Novice Stakes. This War Front colt is beautifully bred, trained by John Gosden and ridden by Ryan Moore, but he'll have to show a lot more than when 12th of 14 at Yarmouth on his debut just a fortnight ago.
In the second race, Hugo Palmer's Omeros is extremely strong in the betting and it's easy to see why. He was a taking winner over course and distance on debut and, despite racing keenly, has gone well in two decent handicaps since.
Returned to the all-weather and from the box draw in stall one, he looks sure to go well down in grade and is perhaps the best-backed horse on the card.
There are some more speculative moves at Musselburgh, while the opening nursery at Bath has been a lively betting heat with both Go Bananas and, more significantly, Johnnysimpson well-supported.
The latter was the subject of a big gamble on his debut and now runs in a handicap for the first time off what could be a generous mark. He was 12/1 first thing but is now 15/2 and very strong at that.
In the evening there's been money for the aptly-named American Hustle at Sedgefield, while Silver Star has been a big springer at Bellewstown.

Tip from the Traders
Nelson's Touch - 4.50 Chelmsford
Four-year-old Nelson’s Touch has shown smart form on all starts to date and looks a model of consistency for the Denis Coakley yard. The grey finished a very respectable 10th of 22 in the Champion Bumper following a solid effort when beaten just seven lengths in a Newbury Listed bumper back in February. He ran into the progressive Sir Michael Stoute-trained Abjar on his debut in the Flat sphere, and it’s unlikely there’s anything of that class in today’s event. Fran Berry takes the ride and will be hopeful of a big run in the finale at the Essex track.
