Best Backed Selection

Naas 3.10 – Scoir Mear 7/2 from 7/1

Ireland keeps the show rolling in the horse racing world today with SCOIR MEAR the best-backed horse on the Naas card in the O'Driscoll O'Neil Handicap Chase at 3.10.

The Thomas Mullins-trained and JP McManus-owned nine-year-old ran well enough in a much better race than this last time when he was a 19-length 10th in the Grade B Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas.

Dropped a couple of pounds after that, he drops in trip today and Sky Bet's punters have backed him into clear outright favouritism at 7/2.

Today's Trader Tip

Naas 1.40 – Fauguernon

Noel Meade’s expensive purchase makes his 2nd appearance on these shores since being claimed after tasting success in listed company on the flat over in France. Showed definite signs of ability and promise on debut albeit appearing to need the run. With the experience behind him and improvement anticipated a big run is expected today in a race where there doesn’t appear to be much depth.
