Free racing tips: Man On The Spot previews every race from Will Rogers Downs

Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Monday's meeting at Will Rogers Downs, North America.

Race 1

Golden Lullabye has finished in the money in allowance races since winning last summer and drops down in class for this. Nocturnal Mission and Love And Lemons were placed at this level in Houston last month though both are pretty exposed and it could pay to stick with SHALLOW RIVER. The latter has now won two of only five outings having returned a winning favourite at Delta Downs last time and Tim Dixon’s filly has plenty of scope for further progress.

Race 2

Kwik finished in front of Strong Side and Burtnjoe when runner-up here recently and is also preferred to recent claiming winner Laser Loop. Game Day Decision has every chance on his latest third at Houston but TWO THE PUNCH has been rejuvenated by the switch to Joe Silva’s yard at the end of last year and bids for a hat-trick on the back of landing a double at Turf Paradise. He gets the vote to continue winning ways.

Race 3

It should pay to stick with RACE THE MOON. The latter was beaten only a length here when dropped back down into claiming company and finished in front of Maverick Brown, Tackson and Viscosity in the process. He’s taken to confirm superiority and come out best once again. Sweettalkncandyman beat a subsequent winner when successful at Fair Grounds in July last year but hasn’t raced since.

Race 4

Rose Larue has failed to build on an earlier second here and finished behind runner-up Bling Springsteen last time. The latter also beat Flat Precious and Restore Harmony on that occasion while Madison’s Place won a maiden race at Fair Grounds last month. But LONG RIDE HOME is another maiden winner having scored easily over track and trip for Scott Young’s in-form yard and she makes most appeal with further progress likely.

Race 5

Steve Asmussen looks to have found a good spot for HOYAM to open her account. She’s been competing in much tougher straight maidens than this and looks the one to beat at this level. Sheza Rockstar and Wild Prospect are closely matched on running at Houston back in February when they filled the places but Magically Honored’s best efforts so far have been on Turf.

Race 6

GIVEN KISSES is one of several recent winners though her wide-margin success at Houston looks the strongest form on offer. She had also finished in front of Emily’s Pegasus before the latter scored on a sloppy track here last month and can confirm running. Veronica’s Dream hasn’t raced since winning at Evangeline back in August but Angel’s Cut returned to winning ways at Fair Grounds last month and can figure again.

Race 7

Maiden winner AURA has the most scope dropping down in class having placed in allowance company at Houston on only her third outing. She may prove the one to side with ahead of Karate Hottie, who usually runs her race and found only one too good again here last time. Absolute Love is capable at this level and is preferred to Figure while Labhay hasn’t raced since October when landing a double in claiming company.

Race 8

College Queen hasn’t figured since demoted at Turf Paradise having passed the post in first and Battle Chic is preferred back in this company having placed in starter races recently. Castanuela had a leading chance having won at his level in February and finishing in front of DAISY CAN in a tougher race at Houston last time. But that was the latter’s first outing for Scott Young’s yard and with improvement expected today, she gets the vote to come out best.

Race 9

Lady Orchid has been winning stakes races at Remington and beating She’s Shiney in the process. Ima Dicreet Lady and Spring Steen were both successful at this level last year and the latter made a successful comeback in allowance company in February. Wholehearted has also won an allowance race this year and looks up to this level but ESTILO FEMENINO (NAP) has been running well in tougher races at Oaklawn Park and a bold bid is expected from Steve Asmussen’s mare in this.

Race 10

A weak maiden claimer to end proceedings but SAVVY SPENDER should go close again having been beaten less than a length when dropped into this grade last time. Los Suenos was still beaten a long way when runner-up here recently though finished in front of Lakeside Romance and Posse Gone Wild with She’s Earthbound perhaps proving best of the rest.
