Man On The Spot best bets for Sha Tin on Sunday

Check out our race-by-race verdicts and nap selection for Sunday's meeting at Sha Tin.

05.30 (All times BST, live on Sky Sports Racing): SUNNY STAR was impressive when beating Smiling Face, Chancheng Prince, Sea Monarch and Like That here last month, staying on powerfully after being outpaced early. The latter, who had led for much of the way before fading quickly, showed the benefit by beating the runner-up and third when they met again three weeks ago with Super Ten back in fourth on his debut. The selection is penalised and may not have things his own way this time but normal progress can see him remain unbeaten.

06.00: Lucky Puzzle has raced at a higher level in all six starts to date and showed a bit more dash last time. He doesn't have the best of the draw unlike Leap Of Faith, who did best when tackling this track and trip in his first two starts before racing over a mile. Armor Star showed real potential on his belated debut here earlier this month when staying on over 6f and Zac Purton takes over. So We Joy had been running on over 6f before tackling a mile last time where he wasn't beaten far. He should go well though the vote goes to NOBLE DESIRE, another who has been staying on over shorter and who has the advantage of the in-form 10lb claimer Jerry Chau on board.

06.30: ENJOY LIFE hasn't won since scoring over the trip at Happy Valley a year ago. However, he's run two fine races under an apprentice here in recent weeks and Joao Moreira takes over. Purton is on board Full Power, a son of Frankel who gained his first success here in March but didn't improve on that under the champion jockey next time. Jerry Chau's claim is a bonus for Monster Kaka, who has been running well enough to get into contention though a wide draw looks a problem. City Legend, placed 12 times but never a winner in 27 starts, hasn't been running badly and could claim a prize from stall 1.

07.00: A rare Group 3 handicap in which several of these ran in the Group 1 Chairman's Sprint a month ago. Thanks Forever did best of them, coming wide into the straight before leading then finding no extra near the finish. Hot King Prawn was just behind in fourth but appeared to have had every chance, unlike fifth-placed WISHFUL THINKER, who was just making his challenge when failing to obtain a clear run. With a pull in the weights he's taken to gain compensation. Waldorf was receiving 18lb when beating Fat Turtle a neck here in February and the runner-up should have no problems reversing the form on these terms.

07.30: Hafeet Alain is a cracking addition to Douglas Whyte's team having completed a double at York and Newmarket for Adrian Nicholls on soft ground in the autumn. With rain forecast he could get conditions to suit. Wind N Rain will have found fast ground against him last time but still finished strongly and looks on a fair mark nowadays. Big Brook won what looked a tough handicap at Sunshine Coast in Australia in January so could be on a tempting mark here while Purton rides BIZ POWER for the first time. He was making his debut for a new yard when flashing home into fourth under an apprentice last time and looks on a very handy weight. Good Luck Friend just failed to add to his victory here in March when beaten a short-head a month later but has gone up 3lb in this better race.

08.00: Sky Darci makes a belated reappearance after his two runs at a lower level at the end of last year but should be winning again before the season ends. KInda Cool couldn't quite make a winning start here three weeks ago and though certain to improve has drawn the outside berth. Gallant Legacy had dropped to such a lowly mark last time that it was no shock to see him gain his first success though an 8lb rise may be enough to prevent a repeat. Regency Poet has never won and has done his best on Happy Valley's tight track so in a moderate handicap a chance is taken with John Size' newcomer SCORES OF FUN, an expensive purchase and bred for speed.

08.35: Xpotential has been looking a couple of pounds high since scoring here in December so Jerry Chau's 10lb claim is a real bonus. True Legend made all and just held the fast-finishing Good Luck Friend over the track and trip last month and with normal progress a 6lb rise shouldn't prove too much of a burden. A line through the winner gives him a bit to find with YEE CHEONG PEGASUS, who has become very expensive to follow having been a beaten favourite in four of his last five starts. However, he won't get many better chances though Purton rides Fast Pace for Caspar Fownes and he made an eye-catching debut here a fortnight ago so looks a real threat.

09.05: Tony Cruz and John Moore saddle the seven entries between them. Time Warp created a shock when making all to beat stable companion EXULTANT here in February but the runner-up had excuses and easily reversed the form in the Group 1 QEII Cup last month. He won this last year so the trip is no problem but another stablemate, Furore, finished strongly into second in the QEII so could pose a threat. Chefano had his first start over the distance in a Group 3 handicap last time and was impressive in beating today's three rivals from his stable but has much more to do.

09.40: Champion Supreme had a bit in hand when coming with a late run to score over 1m2f last time, with Charity Go close up in second and ENZEMBLE 2 lengths back in third, but a 6lb rise makes this more difficult as he was previously behind the latter over this trip. Douglas Whyte's charge didn't appear to last out the extra last time and with Jerry Chau's 10lb claim he can get back to winning ways. He was beaten a neck by World Famous in February but will be 5lb better off with jockey claims taken into consideration. Happy Sebring had dropped to a winnable mark at Happy Valley and a 5lb rise isn't insurmountable but Tangmere has shown his best form, including a recent double, on the city track. Defining Moment had completed a double in lower grade before finishing fourth in the selection's race on his hat-trick bid.

10.15: Flying Victory hasn't run since beating Regency Bo Bo a short-head over the track and trip in November. The runner-up is 5lb better off and can turn the tables. Prime Minister completed a hat-trick in New Zealand in August and has been going well in trials while Beauty Spirit gained reward for some fair performances when comfortably beating Hello Beauty earlier this month. Happy Alumni has only won over 6f but BEAUTY SMILE (NAP) looks ready to gain his first Hong Kong success. A winner over this trip in a Tipperary Listed race for Ger Lyons in August, he's shown plenty of promise in both starts here and any further rain would greatly aid his cause.

10.50: WILL POWER has won three of his five starts, all over 6f, and was staying on strongly when upgraded to this class over that trip last month. With the inside berth he's taken to get back to winning ways. Glorious Spectrum ran on strongly into second over 6f a month ago and has to be on the shortlist while Happy Fun's two victories have been over this track and trip and he found a mile too far last time. Transcendent, the 2019 3 Year Old All-Weather Champion at Lingfield when trained in France, has struggled at the weights since a winning debut here in March but Moreira rides so better is expected.
