MOOHAREEBA made a winning start in handicaps when successful at Kempton under today’s apprentice. There looks plenty more in the tank and a 4lb rise is unlikely to anchor the Gosden filly in this. Galahad Threepwood scored over track and trip last month and a 6lb rise is mostly negated by George Bass’ allowance as he steps up in class while Guroor won at Wolverhampton in November though never threatened the winner when placed at the same track last time ahead of Sula Island.

AHDAB returns to novice company having gone close in a handicap over track and trip. He should have the measure of both Panda Seven and Top Drop on these terms with Ryan Moore taking over the reins. The former showed little on his debut in this country but the latter was narrowly beaten when last seen over today’s distance and looks a threat. Lammas showed promise over 7f at Kempton on his debut and is preferred to Eltham Palace while Tackleslikeaferret has only raced at Southwell so far.

GIVE ‘EM THE SLIP looks sure to be winning at this level soon judged on a recent comeback over track and trip. Beaten less than a length on that occasion, Charlie Hill’s filly can go one better. Gurkha Girl finished a bit closer when runner-up at Kempton and can figure along with Case Of The Ex, who made a decent debut effort when third at Chelmsford behind an odds-on favourite. Cheshire Plain can only improve as a full-sister to a couple of winners and steps up in trip.

Rita The Cheetah has been off the track since making a winning start over the minimum trip at Wolverhampton back in October and is penalised on her return. Mahale went close over 5f here on her reappearance and should confirm running with Passionova but MUMMY BEAR is preferred. The latter finished in front of a subsequent winner when runner-up over course and distance last time and Ryan Moore can steer her home. Rosie Powers and Just Amber are newcomers to note.

Catterick winner Twilight Heir has been gelded since last in action but faces a tough task on his reappearance up against a trio of progressive types. Secret Handsheikh has been wining on the Fibresand and is raised a further 8lb while Charlie Fellowes also scored at Southwell to land a hat-trick of wins in novice company and returns to handicapping. But WATER OF LEITH makes his handicap debut having beaten a subsequent winner when recording a double at Wolverhampton and Jim Goldie’s charge may prove the one to side with in a tight contest.

CRACKLING has been hard to keep right having raced only twice since making a winning debut here as a two-year-old. Narrowly beaten at Southwell on last month’s handicap debut, he looks another with strong claims on today’s card for Ryan Moore. Accomplice won a lower grade contest over track and trip last week and is closely matched with Apex King on earlier running while Noble Peace has won five times at the track though his recent victories have been over 1m2f. De Vegas Kid is preferred to Elmejor of the remainder.

Capla Crusader finished in front of previous winner Compass Point when scoring over track and trip though is 7lb higher today and upped in class. STOPNSEARCH makes more appeal as he had the measure of Convertible when beaten only a short-head over course and distance and Brett Johnson’s charge can return to winning ways. A winner in France, Aztec Dreams ran well on his debut for new connections and will likely improve while Avorisk Et Perils is preferred to stablemate Bealach and Amsby makes his handicap debut.

Inevitable Outcome has placed in both subsequent starts since winning at Wolverhampton while Garth Rockett found one too good over track and trip with previous winner Desert Land behind. Mike Murphy’s charge also beat Cappananty Con at Chelmsford last year and the latter was successful here a fortnight ago. But SAVE THE SPIRIT (NAP) is less exposed and having found 7f too far on his handicap debut, David O’Meara’s charge gets another chance back over his winning trip.
