Man On The Spot best bets for Kempton on Monday evening

Resident tipster Man On The Spot looks ahead to each race at Kempton on Monday evening and nominates a bet, including a Nap selection.

4.40

Live Stream made a winning debut over track and trip before finishing last in a Listed race at Newmarket but Rhoda's Choice is preferred at the weights on her second here last month. An early foal, PERFECT TIMES is speedily bred and a half-sister to a couple of useful winners so it would be no surprise to see her strike on her debut for a yard that can do little wrong at present. Unbutton wasn’t unduly punished at Windsor and is capable of better.

5.10

Red Centre and Make Haste Slowly are the least exposed but have a bit prove now going handicapping. Secret Art and Noble Gift are both getting a bit long in the tooth but the latter slips further down the weights and has a good chance of rewarding each-way support, despite a poor draw. UNIT OF ASSESSMENT, Ilhabela Fact and Moment Of Hope are other previous course and distance winners and should be involved at the business end. Preference is for the former who is from a yard that’s been firing in the winners lately. The latter will be helped by Dylan Hogan’s claim, however, and looks a big threat.

5.40

Ligera won well over 7f at Lingfield and there should be more to come as she makes her handicap debut but DELILAH PARK had more in hand than the official margin suggests in a higher grade over track and trip last month. Chris Wall’s mare has improved with age and could take some stopping if in the same mood. Lethal Talent is probably best on Tapeta but is a course and distance winner, as is Pretty In Grey, while Ahorsecalledwanda was improving on the all-weather before a run on Turf at Newmarket. I'm Available may still be progressing and has place claims.

6.10

The Blue Bower has won lower grade races here and at Wolverhampton since the resumption but could be biting off more than she can chew in this. Dutch Decoy is likely to be thereabouts if taking to the track but could have been better drawn. Shoot The Moon has been showing improved form but over 6f so this can go to NEHAALL (NAP), who ran better than the final result suggests at Newmarket last month and will strip fitter here. Rodin has been raised 6lb for winning at Lingfield so looks vulnerable.

6.45

Vasari could be a typical Sir Michael Stoute improver but is drawn on the outside so may need luck in-running. Penpal may also have scope for further improvement while Blackcastle Storm arrives in top form. Tommy Rock is given cheekpieces after failing to justify favouritism here 12 days ago and Moosmee’s first run for new connections at Lingfield was not without promise. AL RUFAA refused to settle again at Newmarket last month and now wears a hood - he is much better than that run at HQ suggests.

7.15

Pianissimo was in good form here over the winter but has shown nothing in three runs this summer. By contrast, VIBRANCE is still improving has now won four of her last five starts over course and distance. She can go in again as Jersey Wonder ran around under pressure here 12 days ago, though still got his head back in front near the line. Volcanic Sky beat an in-form rivals over 1m6f at Newmarket last month and should stay the extra quarter-mile but the handicapper has probably reeled in Mukha Magic.

7.45

Beverley third Gavlar has dropped to a very fair mark on the all-weather and, with his yard in good form, looks a threat to all. Moon of Baroda is a strong stayer who will have needed his run at Pontefract and Colwood improved again to score at Chelmsford in March. Estrela Star was making giant strides in the spring and arrives on a four-timer but Gary Moore has a couple of interesting runners in this. Rydan is hard to win with and AGE OF WISDOM looks the stable choice on jockey bookings. He only weakened in the closing stages over track and trip on his reappearance and has been dropped another 3lb since.

8.15

Another tricky puzzle to solve but it would be no surprise to see a big run from Robert Guiscard, who has only had one run on the all-weather so far. Late Arrival has had only two career starts at Newmarket and has shown ability in both but Today Power is on the verge of becoming disappointing. Alveda and Licit may have more to offer and a case can be made for Mayson Mount, Mabre and Glen Esk but a tentative vote goes to SIBERIAN NIGHT, who was a winner here in December and clearly short of match practice at Yarmouth last month.

8.45

Catch My Breath was placed at Yarmouth last time and is unexposed on this surface. Gregorian Girl is probably coming to hand and Roca Magica returned to winning ways on Turf at the start of the month while The Game Of Life was second over 7f here last month, though may be better at that trip. We’ll take a chance on KENDERGARTEN KOP as he was in good form here last year and has had a couple of runs to blow away the cobwebs.
