Risk D'Aimer easily justified favouritism at Moulins earlier this month and her rider’s claim will boost hopes of a follow-up but GINGA’s latest second at Compiegne looks comparable. Mickael Seror’s daughter of Martaline is improving with experience and can make it third-time lucky. Unknown Girl fell on debut at Auteuil in March but she is by Kapgarde and out of a Poliglote mare so is bred for the job and could figure with a clear round. The market is likely to be best guide top newcomer Hamelia De Larre.

Yes Indeed failed to improve on his second at Compiegne when fourth at Auteuil but Le Listrac is sure to be popular after a debut second at Compiegne, though he was beaten 10 lengths and improvement will be required if he is to open his account. Angelo Zuliani partners stablemate SORCIER DU ROI, who is by leading NH sire Getaway and a half-brother to three winning jumpers. He’s not highly tried on his introduction and can come out on top. Martator showed promise first time up and could be the pick of the remainder.

Lord Spirit should figure in a claimer that won’t take much winning as he’s accustomed to taking on much better opposition. Pour Vous Et Nous is also taking a drop in grade and is partnered by a 4lb claimer but this can go to GIACO BERE. Twice a winner at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in December, he was a fair third at Fontainebleau when last seen. Yannick Fouin's runners here are usually worth a second look and Glasgow De Sevres is blinkered after pulling up on his debut at Compiegne earlier this month.

Heaven’s Night looks the pick of her stable’s three runners on her sixth at Auteuil, where she finished ahead of Mets La Ouache and Katy Love. Jugeotte finished second in a lesser contest at the Paris track and was five lengths ahead of third Alna Top. Via Maresca made a winning return to action in a non-handicap at Compiegne but it’s difficult to evaluate that form. SAWSAN SENORA has been very lightly raced but appears to go well fresh so an absence since October may not be a disadvantage. Her run behind My Way at Cholet has been franked and she runs in her first handicap off a fair mark.

Lyss De Charnie is definitely worth a market check in this being by Turgeon out of a useful middle-distance winner on the Flat. Ayeth has already had four runs but has shown enough to suggest he’ll be thereabouts again. Beau Val is a likely improver having finished third at Bordeaux in February but CAPODIMONTE is preferred. There was a lot to like about his first run at Compiegne as he wasn’t given a hard time in the closing stages by Baptise Meme.

Sharing bottom weight, Fleur De L’Air looks to have a cracking chance after running well on the Flat at Vichy – the longer trip will suit. Perle De Veguy’s recent third at Auteuil reads well and a case can also be made for Cabo Real and the returning Fleche Rouge. MONDURA is overdue a victory and was in good form at Cagnes-Sur-Mer at the turn of the year. She fell at Compiegne in March but that is unlikely to have affected her confidence and a big run is anticipated.

Enola Gay, a winner over hurdles and fences for Venetia Williams, was having his first run for Yannick Fouin when runner-up at Compiegne in March. Prince De Bellouet is on a hat-trick and probably still improving but EVERY WHERE’s form last season entitles him to respect on his reappearance and he gets the nod. Patrice Quinton runs three in this and it’s likely Edalka De Kerser will be popular with punters following his third at Auteuil while stablemates Funky Du Mestivel and Fret D’Estruval could run well at bigger odds.

The well-bred FAIR PLAY SIVOLA finally got her head in front in a minor contest in the provinces in February. She still has a bit to prove in this grade but further improvement is now likely. Voix Du Soir was a winner at Cagnes-Sur-Mer over the winter and will have benefited from a recent pipe-opener over hurdles. Debut De Printemps is a cross-country specialist but there are possibilities about Blue Crystal, though he also fell on his reappearance. Wamba is having a first run since September and Forza Di Garry hasn’t been seen since November, though does have conditions in his favour.

Rock The Race couldn’t match the finishing pace of Pesk Ebrel at Dieppe but finished well ahead of Epi Sacre. Spirit Sun will probably be back over fences after this and hasn’t raced in more than 12 months. Tarmiking has an even longer absence to overcome and the fitness of Defi Des Mottes will also have to be taken on trust but AJAS (NAP) has had a couple of runs this year and his latest second behind the promising My Way over fences at Auteuil was a cracking effort in the context of a race like this. Estona Sport, second at Auteuil in March, looks the pick of the remainder.

Guillaume Macaire has just two runners on today’s card and SA CARLEX offers him the best hope of success. James Reveley takes the reins on the three-times winner over hurdles who is almost certainly much better than she showed when a beaten favourite on her chasing bow at Fontainebleau. High King can build on his winning debut over the larger obstacles at Toulouse earlier this month and Bal Express should be winning soon. Gracieuse Mag was a winner over hurdles last year and a recent run at Angers should have blown away the cobwebs but this looks a big ask for Espion De Vindecy.
