Unowhatimeanharry to return in Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury

Unowhatimeanharry will once again kick off his season in the Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury on December 1.

Harry Fry's nine-year-old made a successful start to the last campaign in the Grade Two event in Berkshire before going on to land the Long Walk at Ascot and the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham.

He could only finish third behind Nichols Canyon when an odds-on favourite for the Stayers' Hurdle at Prestbury Park in March, but gained his revenge on his Festival conqueror with victory on his last outing at Punchestown in April.

Fry said: "Unowhatimeanharry is in great form with himself and looks really well. He is probably about two weeks away from starting some serious work.

"There is no point having him ready too soon, but he is where we want hie at this stage.

"He will have a similar campaign to last year and he will start off, all being well, in the Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury .

"It is the same race he reappeared in and won last year and we are looking forward to starting him there again."
